AI Video Tools/Remove Subtitles

AI Subtitle Remover

Remove hard subtitles burned into a video, in any language. The text is found automatically and the background behind it is rebuilt frame by frame; length, resolution and audio stay exactly as they were.

Upload or drop a video

MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 30 minutes. Paste works too.

1 credit per second of video, 10 credits minimum

How it works

1

Find the subtitles

An OCR text detector scans the video and locates the lines that keep reappearing in the subtitle band. Logos, watermarks and on-screen signs elsewhere are left alone.

2

Rebuild the background

A video inpainting model (STTN) fills each subtitle with what is behind it, borrowing from the frames around it so the patch does not flicker.

3

Keep everything else

Only the subtitle pixels change. Length, frame rate, resolution and the original audio are kept, ready to re-caption, translate or re-cut.

FAQ

Which subtitles can it remove?

Hard subtitles burned into the picture, in any language or script, usually along the bottom of the frame. Soft subtitle tracks are not part of the picture; just turn them off in your player.

How long does it take?

About one to two times the length of the video, plus a short start-up. A one-minute clip is usually ready in two minutes.

What does it cost?

One credit per second of video, ten credits minimum. If the job fails, the credits are refunded automatically.

Will it remove my logo or watermark?

No. It looks for subtitle lines only, so a channel logo or a watermark in a corner is kept.

Can I use it inside Viral Flow or the Agent?

Yes. In Viral Flow choose Edit → Erase subtitles on any video card; the Agent has an erase subtitles tool; and Long to Shorts can remove subtitles from every clip it cuts.
